hey everyone,
what have you all been up to?
I have been increasingly busy -just within the last few days.I would have to say that Saturday was the busiest of all-first I arrived at my church at nine -tenish-and headed out to Amish country with the teen group.we first toured an Amish house and it was really neat. But the tour guide -not catching herself explained-"the men can wear buttons, but the women are stuck with pins".For those who know me well- of maybe not even a little you must understand that I have a sense of humor-I just adore fun.I giggled and I think that some of the teens caught on, but anyways we also saw some really cute puppys and I think that if it were not for the loss of connection in the cell-phone wires, we might have ridden home with one :).There was an Amsih man who was giving tours in the barn.Andwhen we saw the adorable three day old donkey;he remarked that some people from Jerusalem had visited the farm before and said that the breed of donkey he had was the breed that Jesus had ridden into Jeruasalem on.I thought that that was REALLY neat, but it gets better.Across from the donkeys were some sheep.I asked the man about them and if they had any problems with coyotes. He replied"yep, wiped out three hundred of em last year."He proceeded to explain that that was why they had the donkeys. He said "the donkey is the BEST shepard that you can get."
Think about it for a minute................................................
is it just my imagination of is that a picture of Jesus Christ???
I just stood there for a second in amazment-HOW AWESOME IS MY GOD!!!
The rest of the day was spent at a market where we ate lunch and got ice cream, and at a place called Heinis Cheese. What a gas that place was- I'll tell you that much.(hey what can I say, I said I had a sense of humor).
Anyways I'll take a break and post a little later about my trip on the bus yesterday-oh my LITTLE BOYS.........................................
